"Hey - how do I get my home network setup wirelessly?"
Welp, here's some links of all the stuff that will help to setup a home network, wirelessly. Including such devices as Laptops, Older/Newer PCs, TiVo, XBox, PS2, etc..

This speed really only affects your internal, local area network (not the speed at which you'll browse the internet, but at which you'll be able to share files from your other computers on your network). That being the case, faster is always better in terms of data processing, so these 2 devices (as well as the PCI card down below) operate at the faster 54mbps wireless protool, 802.11g.
First you need a router/transmitter:
54g wireless router:
Linksys 55 (5x) wireless router
Netgear also makes a good 54g wireless router:
Then, for each laptop that will connect, you'll want to get a 55 mbps wireless card: Linksys 55g wireless carbus laptop card
For any devices requiring a wire-drop, you can use this 5x bridge: Linksys 55g wireless bridge

Again, this speed really only affects your internal, local area network (not the speed at which you'll browse the internet, but at which you'll be able to share files from your other computers on your network). These two devices will be a bit cheaper than the above 802.11g devices, and will get the job done just fine.
Same thing as above, first you need the router: 11 mbps router:
Linksys 802.11b wireless router
then you'll need an access card for each laptop: 11mbps laptop card:
(This card is the budget choice, but really, for just a few dollars more you can get the above wireless card, which is recommend over this 11 mbps card.

Devices to use to connect to your new fancy wireless network:

(Note: as the 5x 802.11g standard has yet to trickle-down to these devices, you're kind-of stuck with the 11mbps rate for most of these devices, which is still plenty fast for these devices)
For any PCs at home, which have a spare PCI slot, you can get this to get them on the wireless network:
(however, these things are known to have relatively poor reception, especially if your PC is buried behind a desk, etc..)
Alternatively, for any PC or Device (TiVo, laptop, etc.) with a free USB connection, you can use a wireless USB Adapter: Netgear wireless USB adapter
And, for the real expensive wire-cutter, to hook up a device like an Xbox, or a Playstation2 wirelessly, you'll need a wireless ethernet bridge:
wireless 802.11b bridge
If you need to hook up more than one device threw this bridge, this is possible by using a switch:
(bridge->switch->up to 5 devices)
linksys 5 port 10/100 LAN switch
