What follows is the actual government congressional testimony from 1937, when Cannabis sativa was deemed to be such a menace to society that a smear campaign began to eradicate a species of plant from this planet. Portions of this testimony read like a Cheech & Chong comedy movie, it's just downright laughable. Rather, it would be funny were it not true, and were peoples' lives all across the world not being ruined by these false testimonies.
